If you are a home builder or a municipal building inspector, the Illustrated Code Series book, Housing Construction, can be of assistance to you in understanding the requirements of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) with respect to constructing or inspecting a new home.

The Housing Construction book is organized into chapters which reflect the common industries stages of construction and the prescribed or mandatory inspections required to be requested by the builder when constructing a new house. This guide provides interpretations and explanations for the requirements of the OBC 2012, utilizing illustrations or diagrams to provide further explanations of each Article in the OBC.
